The renovation of the fish hatchery involved the construction of 40 trout rearing tanks, oxygen enhancement technology to increase fish production, wastewater treatment capability, a new feed storage building, and a spring cover to protect water supply. With the completion of this renovation, the hatchery has the ability to produce 600,000 - 650,000 catchable-size rainbow, brown, and brook trout for stocking in Virginia’s public waters.
