Douglas has been with Lantz Construction Company since 1993 and has served as President and CEO of the company since 2000. Douglas is a graduate of the College of William & Mary and the University of Richmond School of Law. Before joining Lantz, Douglas practiced law for six years. Douglas lives in Broadway with his wife, Gayle. They have a daughter who is a graduate of the University of Virginia and is currently attending Duke University, and a son enrolled at Bridgewater College. Douglas is active in many community and civic organizations, and is currently a member of the Harrisonburg Rotary Club, a Boy Scout Leader, and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Douglas is also a former member of the Rockingham Memorial Hospital Board of Directors. When not at the office, visiting a job sites, meeting with clients, or serving his community Douglas enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, riding horses, or just hanging out with friends and family.
Allen has been Lantz Construction Company’s Director of Safety since he joined the company in 2007. Allen is a native of Doswell, Virginia and grew up on a horse farm only a few miles from the “The Meadow Farm”, home of Secretariat. Before entering into the field of Safety, Allen owned a hardware store then spent twelve years as a career paramedic on the streets of Richmond and for the county of Hanover. He also worked part-time as a set medic for the movie industry where he met many actors and actresses you have never heard of. Allen is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University and holds a degree in Management and Organizational Development. Allen now lives in the valley with his wife and three children and enjoys civil war relic hunting and working on his 1965 Mustang convertible.
Andy joined Lantz Construction Company in 2006 as a Project Manager. Andy is a graduate of Virginia Tech. Prior to joining Lantz, Andy worked for J.M. Turner & Co., a general contractor out of Roanoke, VA. Andy lives in Mount Solon with his wife, Cheryl. They have two young daughters, Erin and Ashley. Andy is an active member of Verona United Methodist Church. When not at the office, visiting job sites or meeting with clients, Andy enjoys hunting, camping and spending time at the family beach house.
Chuck has been with Lantz Construction Company since 2007 and holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University’s College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. Prior to working at Lantz, Chuck worked for the West Virginia DOT as an assistant inspector, as part of WVU’s co-op program. Chuck lives in Franklin, WV with his wife Danielle and their daughter Lauren. Chuck has been an active member of the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department since 2001. He is also a member of the Friends Run Church of the Brethren and the Pendleton County Alumni Band. In his spare time, Chuck likes to hunt, work in the garden, tinker with computers and other electronics, do web and graphic design, play drums and guitar, and hang out with friends and family.
Christopher has been the Architect at Lantz Construction Company since the beginning of 2007. Christopher is a graduate of the North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a Masters degree in Architecture. In 2003, Christopher received his LEED Accreditation from the US Green Building Council. Christopher lives in Harrisonburg with his wife, Marti, an English professor at EMU, and his daughter, Elizabeth. Christopher attends Lindale Mennonite Church and is currently a board member of the John Kline Homestead in Broadway, Virginia. In his spare time, Christopher is also working on an MBA from Eastern Mennonite University.
Chris (or “Chip” as he’s known by many friends and family) has been with Lantz Construction Company since 1995, serving in various capacities including Division Manager, Project Manager, and currently as Senior Estimator. Chris is a 1992 graduate of Virginia Tech, and to this day remains an avid Hokie fan. Chris lives in Broadway with his wife, Stephanie, and their two daughters Jordan (7) and Taylor (5). Outside of work, Chris enjoys hunting and camping with his brothers and friends. He also enjoys sports, exercising, going to the beach, and participating in most any outdoor activity.
Chris has been with Lantz since 2008 and is a graduate of James Madison University and the Washington & Lee University School of Law. He is also an associate member of the Virginia Bar. Before joining the Lantz Team, Chris specialized in aviation consulting and real estate development. Chris has a young daughter and one crazy Maine Coon cat (his not- as -crazy Chocolate Lab passed away recently after 16 years of chasing birds afield). His community involvement includes serving on the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors and serving as Chairman of the Chamber's Public Policy Committee. When not engaged in construction, Chris enjoys every minute he gets to spend with his daughter, is an avid fly-fisherman, bird hunter, and outdoor enthusiast enjoying hiking, bicycling, and kayaking.
Clint has been with Lantz Construction Company since 1995 and has directed the Operations Department since 2000. Clint is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Building Construction. Before joining Lantz Construction Company Clint worked in heavy industrial construction in the Richmond and Northern Virginia area. Clint lives near the Town of Shenandoah with his wife, Joyce and their daughter. When not sporting a Lantz hardhat, Clint enjoys canoeing, fishing, camping, sports cars, building furniture, gardening and just spending time with friends and family.
Gerard Folio has been with Lantz Construction Company since 2010 and serves as project manager and is active in Lantz's business development efforts in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. Gerard is a graduate of the Old Dominion University Civil Engineering program with a specialization in Structural Engineering. Gerard started work in construction at an early age and has been in construction industry for more than 25 years. Gerard lives in Baker, WV with his wife Eresha and has been happily married for 25 years. They have a daughter at Shepherd University in the pre-med program through West Virginia University and a 5 year old son attending grade school. Gerard serves as adjunct professor at Lord Fairfax Community College and enjoys teaching and mentoring young professionals just getting started with their career. Gerard enjoys trout fishing and spending time with his family in the Appalachian Mountains.
John has been with Lantz Construction Company since 1972 and currently serves as Corporate Secretary and Vice President of Estimating. John studied art and business administration at Madison College, now James Madison University. For over 35 years, he has been an active community leader in Broadway, serving in various years as president of the local Jaycees, Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club and the Rotary Club. Since 2006, John has served as Broadway's Mayor. Active also in the construction industry, John was twice elected president of the Valley District Associated General Contractors (AGC). In January 2011, he was elected Chairman of the Board. John enjoys golf, hunting, and surf fishing. He and his wife, Rita, reside in Broadway, VA. They enjoy travel and social activities with family and friends.
Kevin has been with Lantz Construction Company since 1993 and has served as Senior Project Manager since 2000. Kevin grew up in Ludington, Michigan and graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in Construction Management. He and his family live in the village of Port Republic. His wife, Karina, is a Spanish professor at James Madison University. Kevin has a daughter in the sixth grade and another in the second grade. He has served for 10 years on the board of the Society of Port Republic Preservationists. His interests include being in the outdoors, art, music, travelling, sharing good food and drink with friends and more recently, pygmy goats.
Larry has been with Lantz Construction Company since 1997 as a Project Manager primarily in the Industrial Division. He has worked for numerous construction companies in his over 50 years of construction service. Larry lives in Timberville with his wife, Millie and has two grown children and four grandchildren. He is a member of Upper Tract United Methodist Church, but is presently attending Riverside United Methodist in Fulks Run. Larry enjoys hunting, fishing and watching his grandchildren participate in sports and school activities.
Naleena works as an Estimator for Lantz Construction and has been with the company for 5 years. She lives in Timberville with her husband, Brian, two young daughters, two dogs and a cat. When Naleena is away from the office she is a devoted wife and mother and spends her free time with her family, she also enjoys exercising, shopping and loves going to the beach.
Pete has been with Lantz Construction Company since 2003 as a Project Manager. Pete is a graduate of Spotswood High School and completed the electrical program through Massanutten Technical Center. Prior to joining Lantz, Pete worked in the electrical field for 18 years, which the last five of those years as a Project Manager. Pete lives in Broadway with his wife Sherry and his son Grayson. In his spare time Pete enjoys spending time with friends and family, camping, jet skiing at Lake Moomaw and riding his Harley.
Phil started at Lantz Construction Company in May of 2000 after graduating from West Virginia University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He successfully passed his professional licensing exam and became licensed as a Professional Engineer in early 2005, and since then, almost all of the Lantz Design-Build projects have been prepared under his direction. Phil and his wife Amanda and their two dogs Siri and Iris reside in Shenandoah County, and they maintain a fairly low-key rural lifestyle. Grilling out with family and friends, relaxing at home, evening walks and the occasional game of basketball are a recipe for happiness.
Richard has been with Lantz Construction Company since 1998 and has served in his current role as CFO and Treasurer of the company since 2002. Richard is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and has a degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech. Before joining Lantz, Richard worked for a local CPA firm for ten years. Richard lives in Harrisonburg with his wife, Michele and their two children. His children currently attend Cub Run Elementary School and swim year-round for the Valley Area Swim Team (VAST). Richard is active in several professional organizations, a member of Spotswood Country Club and currently attends Timberville Church of the Brethren. When not working Richard enjoys college football, traveling and time at home with family and friends.
Steve began his career with Lantz Construction Company in 1976 making his tenure the longest uninterrupted service of any Lantz employee. Steve’s primary responsibility has been sales, but he has done lots of estimating over the years and now currently serves as Vice-President of Sales. Steve graduated from Lyons College with degrees in business administration and economics. Before joining Lantz Construction Company, Steve served with the United Sates Army in Okinawa. After returning to the states he worked as a project manager and estimator in northern Virginia. Steven and his wife live in Harrisonburg. Steve has served on several community boards and is an active member of the Harrisonburg Rotary Club and Otterbein United Methodist church where he also serves as a Trustee. Along with quality time with his family, he loves to ride his bicycle, snow ski, read and work on his 100 year old home.
Sue Coffman has been employed as an estimator with Lantz for five years. She lives with her husband, Robert, and her son Chad, on North Mountain Road in Timberville. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, reading, biking, swimming and hanging out with her friends.
